The GW2 Legendary armors are sets of the armor of Legendary rarity. Like all legendary equipment, it can select any available attribute combination and be changed at any time while out of combat. Additionally, swapping out any slotted upgrade component (runes and infusions) placed in them at no cost (swapped-out items are returned to your inventory) is possible.

Since the Legendary Armory’s addition on July 13, 2021, legendary armor GW2 can be freely transmuted, no longer consuming transmutation charges, and equipped across all level 80 characters who can wear the armor of that weight at the same time. The appearance of the armor is retained and specific per equipment set and individual character.

There are three types of legendary armor, PvE legendary armor, PvP legendary armor, and WvW legendary armor.

PvE legendary armor

The PvE Legendary Armor, also known as Perfected Envoy Armor, boasts a distinctive visual effect that changes depending on whether the wearer is in combat or out of it.

Acquiring the PvE legendary armor involves completing a series of legendary armor collection achievements within a ten-player dungeon. Additionally, players must accumulate many legendary insights by participating in ten-player dungeons. Hence, having a reliable and long-term cooperative dungeon team can simplify obtaining the PvE legendary armor.

It takes 150 Legendary Insights to obtain the first set of Legendary Raid armor. With the weekly cap of  Legendary 30 Legendary Insights, this will take five weeks to reach the required amount.

PvP legendary armor

The Zealous Glory Armor and Glory Hero’s skin are exclusive rewards that can be unlocked by obtaining the PvP legendary armor, a set of legendary armor designed solely for PvP battles.

The PvP legendary armor comes in three sets, each with and without special effects. The effect version of this armor exhibits glowing tentacles behind the wearer during combat.

However, acquiring this armor is a challenging feat. It requires 300 PvP League tickets to obtain a full set of Legendary PvP armor. With the season cap of 100 PvP League Ticket, this will take 3 seasons to reach the season cap.

WvW legendary armor

There are two variations of the WvW Legendary Armor – one set comes with special effects, while the other does not. When engaged in battle, the special effects version of the armor displays glowing tentacles behind it.

Obtaining the WvW Legendary Armor is the most challenging of the three Legendary Armors, as it necessitates a high level of participation on the Battlefield and a significant amount of WvW Tournament Claim Tickets. Besides, it must take up to two months to complete one piece of the full armor set.
