World of Warcraft Alterac Valley score screen explained

��� The Alterac Valley score screen in Blizzard's World of Warcraft is a useful source of information for Battleground players. It shows some important statistics regarding the game including Bonus Honor,Secondary Objectives, as well as Graveyards and Towers assaulted/defended.


��� While this tool is a good indicator on whether or not you're winning a match. It can also be used as a gauge to measure which players are performing their assigned roles. Savvy leaders can also use the tool to help them make decisions like diverting reinforcements to some players.

��� That said, all the data in the score screen is useless if you don't know how to interpret it. Here's the complete explanation of the Battleground score screen as well as what each category means:

Class Icon

Icon showing what class the player is.

Name

This lists all the players currently participating in that Battleground instance. Alliance player's names are listed in blue; and Horde player's names are listed in red. Your name is listed as yellow.

Killing Blows

This lists the number of times a player delivered a killing blow to an enemy inside the Battleground.

Deaths

This shows the number of times a player has died in the Battleground.

Honorable Kills

This lists the number of enemies that player, or his/her group, participated in defeating in that Battleground.

Damage Done

The amount of damage done by the player.

Healing Done

The amount of healing done by the player.

Graveyards Assaulted

This lists the number of times the player successfully converted an enemy graveyard flag to neutral. Players can convert the flag to neutral by clicking on the banner and remaining undisturbed for 10 seconds while remaining in contact with the banner. Once the banner is converted, the defending faction has a set amount of time to defend the banner by converting it back to their faction. If they fail to convert the banner back, the attacking team will gain control of the graveyard.

Graveyards Defended

This lists the number of times the player successfully converted a graveyard banner that has been turned neutral by the opposing faction. Clicking on a neutral flag and remaining undisturbed for 10 seconds while in contact with the banner will return control of the graveyard to the defenders. However, if the defenders fail to convert the flag during a set period of time, the attacking team will gain control of the graveyard.

Towers Assaulted

This lists the number of times the player successfully converted an enemy's guard tower banner. Clicking the banner and remaining undisturbed for 10 seconds while in contact with it will turn the tower neutral, and if the defending faction fails to convert the banner back in a set amount of time, the tower will be destroyed.

Towers Defended

This lists the number of times the player successfully converted a guard tower banner that has been turned neutral by the opposing faction. Clicking the banner and remaining undisturbed for 10 seconds while in contact with the neutral banner will return control of the tower to the defenders. Warning: if the defenders fail to convert the banner during a set period of time, their guard tower will be destroyed!

Secondary Objectives

This lists the number of secondary objectives initiated by the player. This includes, but is not limited to, freeing wing commanders and summoning Ice Lords or Forest Lords.

Bonus Honor

This lists the amount of bonus Honor the player has earned in that Battleground. Bonus Honor is rewarded to players instantly upon completing certain objectives, such as destroying a tower or defeating an opposition leader. Bonus Honor is also rewarded when the Battleground is won or lost, based on how many objectives are controlled, such as mines or graveyards.
