In version 7.1 of World of Warcraft, there is a hidden BOSS in Return to Karazhan——Nightbane. You must complete a series of tasks in Karazhan to trigger this hidden BOSS.

1. Go to Deadwind Pass and come to the entrance of the dungeon. (PS: It is a new 5-player dungeon. Remember to set the Dungeon Difficulty to Mythic.)

2. Make it to Opera, and kill Opera Hall. To obtain the first Soul Fragment, head to the middle of the auditorium, opposite the stage. Once you have defeated the BOSS, proceed to the hall below and click the fragment. (After the first crystal, you will gain a BUFF)

3. Run over to the door of the Maiden of Virtue room, and the second Soul Fragment is in the room on the left closest to the BOSS. Click the Soul Fragment and get the 2nd stack of the buff.

4. Go into The Banquet Hall, jump over the ledge, and kill Moroes. After you kill him, grab the keys that also drop on the ground and click on the Soul Fragment behind the table, giving you a 3rd stack of the buff.

5. Go to the room of spiders on the bottom floor to get the fourth Soul Fragment, and then click on the portal to the dungeon’s entrance. (BUFF increases to 4th stack)

6. The 5th gem is in the Menagerie, where you’ll kill The Curator. After getting the 5th stack of Medivh’s Echo, it will change into Medivh’s Presence for 5 minutes, which means the task is completed.

7. To obtain the Smoldering Ember Wyrm, you’ll need to head to the summoning platform of Nightbane in Karazhan and speak with Medivh. Once you’ve talked to Medivh, you will receive the One Night in Karazhan achievement. The scene will play to summon Nightbane before you can fight him. If you can defeat Nightbane, you’ll be rewarded with the Smoldering Ember Wyrm.
