The new patch of Guild Wars 2, "The Lost Shores", is coming on November 16. New content will be revealed, including new Fractals of the Mists dungeon, a new beta PvP map, new Lost Shore items and new Ascended Gear and infusions. Also a free trial weekend event was prepared for the launch of The Lost Shores on November 15 – 18, as well as a Lost Shore Weekend Event.
The Fractals of the Mists Dungeon
A new dungeon will be introduced in the launch of The Lost Shores, named the Fractals of the Mists. It is different from other dungeons. The Mists is consisted of series mini dungeons called "fractal". By passing through these unique "fractal", you can improve your level of the progress in the dungeon. However it will get harder and harder while you going further. Yet it is unlimited with level cap. Just fight your way to the endless challenge.
Beta PvP Map: Temple of the Silent Storm
The new PvP map, Temple of the Silent Storm, is a "more vertical" map as it was introduced. It is still a beta version so we may see some changes of it in the future. At present this new PvP map is on one of the Kodan's floating sanctuaries. Players need to across the places of the giant iceberg dojo of the kodan. They will get buffs to meditate on if successfully doing this. And there is a powerful boss to kill on the PvP map. Players can gain all the capture points in the map by killing the boss.
New Items and Ascended Gear in The Lost Shores
New items for The Lost Shores are available in Gem store in the weekend event, including unique minis and brand-new weapon skins of the Black Lion Trading Company.
A new and more powerful than exotics gear will be introduced in The Lost Shores, the Ascended gear, and infusions that will increase your character's power. But to get them requires the ability of accomplish great challenges. Yet they are very new and needs all of us to discover.
The free trial weekend event is on Nov 15 to 18. If you are a current Guild Wars 2 player, you are allowed to invite at most three friends to the free trial weekend event. To explore all the new contents with your best friend will bring you much more fun. Since the free trial event will soon begin on Nov 15, you should be quick finish the invitation.
The special Lost Shore Weekend Event will begin on Nov 16, and last for the whole weekend. You can join in fight against the fierce Ancient Karka, exploring new maps, killing new monsters and learning new recipes. Although The Lost Shores weekend event is a level 80's, but participating players will be bumped up via GW2's "sidekicking" for the duration, so pretty much anyone can dive in.
