Enjoy Children's Week Holiday in WoW:Tips and Advices

The Children's Week is one of the fun holiday festivals in World of Warcraft. Many players are waiting for this holiday, as well as for those pets. And it has to be reminded that this year's Children's Week has already began at April 29, and will be end on May 5. Have you gotten one or all of those pets yet? If you have, congratulations and have fun. If you don't, here comes tips of Children's Week for first time participators, some advices for old players which should make it easier to get all the rewards.

Children's Week

According to Blizzard, you should "take an orphan under your wing, perform the quests you are presented with and you'll show one of Azeroth's children that you care (and be rewarded with a special in-game pet to boot)". "Visit famous landmarks with one of Azeroth's orphans by your side, embark on adventures across the lands of Azeroth, and bring your young friend back to the orphanage". You will also get achievements for those quests.

This event is availible for all factions. The place of each faction has been anounced on the offficial site of WoW. For alliance it's in Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind, horde in Orphan Matron Battlewail in Orgrimmar, and all factions in Orphan Matron Mercy in Shattrath City, Orphan Matron Aria in Dalaran. And remember, for the Stormwind Orphan, you will get quests that take you to the haunted lighthouse in Westfall, the Stonewrought Dam in Loch Modan, the bank in Darnassus, and lastly to the home of Jaina Proudmoore in Theramore Isle; for the Orgrimmar Orphan, you will get quests that take you to the Undercity, the docks in Ratchet, the Mor'shan Rampart in The Barrens, and lastly to the home of Cairne Bloodhoof to get his "Hoofprint". Follow the steps you will get easier for your achievements.

Children's Week Quests

The official site also has articals about details of how to take an orphan and the rewards in Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor, Shattrath and Dalaran. You can check that to get known for this holiday.

Children's Week Pet Egbert’s Egg

Most quests of Children's Week holiday are not so complicated. Faction quests require level 10, Shattrath quests require level 60 and Dalaran quests require level 70. None of the quests should be particularly difficult for anyone who meets the level requirements. But you should be careful of killing King Ymiron. It is better to get grouped for this one. And the achievement of "School of Hard Knocks", the hardest one of all in Children's Week, is recommended to be done in team and as early as possible. So you could get better chance to achieve this.

Usually one character can only get three pets each year: One from the classic Azeroth quests (Piglet's Collar, the Rat Cage, the Turtle Box, or the Snail Shell), one from the Outland quests (Elekk Training Collar, Egbert's Egg, Sleepy Willy, or Legs), and one from the Northrend quests (the Curious Wolvar Pup or the Curious Oracle Hatchling). That is to say, you have to finish the quests each time for four years to get all the pets.

But now in Mist of Pandaria, it is possible for share your un-combat pets with other characters in your account. Thus you could do those quests with serial of characters on your account. Each of the characters gets one different of the pets, then converse all these pets to your main character that you want all pets on. And thanks for redditer CJGibson to come up with this brilliant idea.
