How luckly North American players are? Blizzard recently invited 200,000 more North American players to the Diablo 3 beta, so they recommend that those who have opted-in check their Battle.net accounts to see if they were chosen.

Diablo 3 Senior Producer Steve Parker has announced that he is leaving Blizzard after five years with the company. The original Diablo 1/2 dev team are not working on Diablo 3. Mabye that is why Diablo 3 has not been released.

On a conference call for Activision Blizzard's fourth quarter 2011 earnings, CFO Thomas Tippl said two Blizzard titles are expected in 2012, including Diablo 3. Blizzard had previously announced that Diablo 3 was meant to be released in early 2012. In a press release, Activision Blizzard reported that(the company's first quarter 2012 does not incorporate a new release from Blizzard Entertainment.)

This pushback is in line with recent revelations that the Diablo 3 team is still making quite a few changes to the game that could further extend its development time beyond early 2012. Blizzard's president Mike Morhaime confirmed that Diablo 3 won't be ready until the second quarter of 2012, and more news will be available within the coming weeks.

Update: Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition finally on sale in the UK. There is of course no release date attached but at least it’s starting to appear for sale this side of Europe. Bear in mind we’re just talking UK here. I think we will see the Diablo 3 Collector’s Edition on sale in others Countries in Europe. But when? I think within the next 2 months.
