October’s Top 10 MMORPG in North America

When I was typing this article on my computer, the coldness on my finger reminds me of October’s coming. Yet the warm afternoon sunshine brings the willing to enjoy the time with a cup of hot chocolate. But don’t miss our monthly Top 10 MMORPGs.

Let’s see October’s Top 10. If you just take a glimpse on the list, you may wonder, is this last month’s list? Yes, quite the same. The Top 4 MMORPGs in the list is exact the same with September’s. However, from #5 to #10, the rank was shuffled.

Again check the analysis of October’s Top 10 with me:

Top 10 MMORPGs

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (Stays in No.1)

As far as I know, SQUARE ENIX has opened new servers for more and more new players in FF XIV. Yet it is still crowded in every corner. Why this game can be so hot? Not clear, maybe because of the New Job System, 3 Diverse City-States, 4 Distinct Class Roles and 18 Sub-Specializations, or Levequests and Raids. But this is just my assumption for reference.

Guild Wars 2 (Same)

Guild Wars 2

Why can Guild Wars 2 keep its popularity till now? I checked recent news of the game, and find a possible reason, the Halloween event: Tyrian Halloween. Five new contents were released in the event: A New Scavenger Hunt, New Labyrinth Layout, New Dungeon, New Halloween Mask and New Weapon Skins. They must have drawn some people’s eyes. Are you one of them?

Star Wars: The Old Republic (Still No.6)

Have you noticed? SWTOR has kept its #6 rank for three months. This is not an easy work. And eventually, the Super Secret Space Project is revealed this month. Players who are planning leaving the game may hold and wait for surprise. This could explain the #6 miracle of SWTOR.

World of Warcraft(↓2)

World of Warcraft

We see an unsteady rank of World of Warcraft in the last four month, which kept in low ranks. Are people bored of it?

In October, World of Warcraft Battlechest has been updated, This new package now includes the original World of Warcraft and the following expansions: The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and now Cataclysm. and Blizzard will soon be enhancing the Recruit-A-Friend system. This system allows existing players to invite friends and family to the game where the two will have added benefits including triple experience gains while grouped up to level 80, the ability to summon one another to each other’s location and granting one level to the veteran player for every two levels the recruited character gains. What the new system will offer is not quite clear but Blizzard has stated that there will be more reward choices for players and may include the recently teased Emerald Hippogryph mount. Hopefully we’ll know very soon what other rewards await. It’s import to note that this system is different than the Scroll of Resurrection program that is used to invite former players back to the game.

The Secret World (↑)

It blends elements of mythological and modern day civilizations, along with a mix of dark fantasy and the supernatural, and has no character classes. In The Secret World, where urban legends, myths, and conspiracy theories are all true.

And there have a important update: Issue #8 , It contains two important new features – Scenarios and Augments, as well as Halloween additions for this year.

Rift (↓1)

Rift is one rank down this month. Hope it can keep forwarding next month..

TERA: Rising (↓1)

The last game is TERA: Rising. Is the Halloween Ailuri Giant killer Mask not satisfying players? Or the people just lost their interesting in Banquet of Blood? Though it is only one rank down, TERA can be regarded as failed with the least bit of difference.

TERA: Rising

All right, this is October’s report. See you next month.
