June's Top 10 MMORPG List in North America

The Summer solstice just crossed, a torrid summer is coming. It has been raining for several days in my city. But I don't really like rain, it makes me feel sad. Here we got the latest June's Top 10 MMORPG List, and let’s take a look and find out which game won the first, maybe it can make me feel happy.

MMORPG List in NA

wildStar

In last month’s list, we predicted that Wildstar will surpass ESO and rank 1st.  As expected, it has done. I wish I can set off fireworks, if I had some in my hands, to celebrateits success. But gaming is a cyclical business, and success in this month does not guarantee success in the next. So we say “keep going and better luck next time”.

Wildstar

WildStar is our number 1 MMORPG Game this mouth. It was launched in 2014 by Carbine Studios, published by NCSOFT.It is a fantasy/science fiction massively multiplayer online role-playing game that takes place on the fictional planet Nexus, where a mysterious and powerful race known as the Eldan has disappeared leaving behind a wealth of technology and secrets for players to explore. It has received vocal playersupport, a decent ranking on game list after it was launched.

Elder Scrolls Online (↓1)

Elder Scrolls online

Elder Scrolls online, the top 1 in May, has got the second place this month. But it still has universal appeal. On the positive side, this month it has got 200,000 click rates more than the third - - Guild Wars 2.

The release of patch 1.1.0 has aroused continuous debate about Craglorn and whether or not this is the type of PvE End Game they want to spend their subscription fee on. Trials, daily questions, and an entire zone dedicated to doing group content, is it what we want?

During the first week of Craglorn we were seeing guilds complete trials within 11 minutes, and even 30 minutes for the most difficult content. Personally 11 minutes isn’t a challenge, granted only a few guilds have completed it within that time frame but when it’s still the first week should players be completing the end game content within 11 minutes or 30 minutes?

Guild Wars 2 (↑1)

Guild Wars 2

A lot of time and effort has been consumed by ArenaNet to make Guild Wars 2 the most unique MMO possible. Until now, ArenaNet are trying new things to make this game better. Their biggest attempt is the Living Story, as a new thing being added to the experience has its faults.

One good thing about ArenaNet is that they do listen. May be it seems like they aren’t, but actually they do. Sometimes they can’t talk about everything they are changing. So, we just have to wait till the time is right, when it’s ready. Iknow, we are tired of hearing that, but last week was one of those times with the announcement of the Story Journal.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (↑3)

At this year’s E3, Yoshi-p said: At last year’s E3 we were getting ready to start our beta. Since then we’ve had a successful launch and we’ve had some big patch updates under our belt and we have millions of users playing the game so we’re really excited with what this year has brought us. We want to continue to grow our already large community. This summer we’ll be going into the China market and we also have other regions planned so we can grow the community and the game.

After all, Final Fantasy series feature its good graphic, it is so attractive.

Star Wars: The old republic

Star Wars: The old republic

This mouth StarWars remains the same position on our list when compared with last month. The latest Game update 2.8 was launched on June 10th, which brings some difficulties, as a number of players experienced severe troubles when logging in, getting stuck in a Flashpoint, transitioning to other areas, using the group finder, or logging in and seeing an empty server list. The worst of the issues were resolved within 24 hours.

The last major update before the launch of Galactic Strongholds in October is 2.8. And the patch notes reveal a number of changes that may or may not appeal to the majority of the player base. This is an updated but there is no new content in this patch. All of the updated content in this patch is for endgame raiders PVPers, but other than moving on to Nightmare Mode Dread Palace and adding a couple of new ships to Galactic Starfighter, there is very little that is actually new.

Archeage(↓3)

Archeage

Archeage is most definitely a sandbox-flavored MMO. Those trade caravans transporting packs of local specialties makeroads and sea alive.Players raid unprotected farms while pirates kill time and each other on Freedich Island. Besides declaring war on another, Guilds also can claim land and construct castles. Most importantly, crafted gear reigns supreme. It does not matter, for most of MMO fans. No amount of Open-world interactions can prevent this game from becoming the target of “Korean grinder” criticism. It’s true, XLGAMES is a South Korean Game studio, and there is a catch. Quite a few MMOs developed in South Korea and published in Europe or North America has been criticizing for lacking in content. “Gridny” is the common term, but whatthat means depends on who you ask. Grinds could refer to a lack of quest variety or the absence of quests entirely or mean an excessive reliance on basic mob hunting for experience and equipment or a logarithmic experience curve. Those were all certainly problems for Korean MMOs developed in the 90’s and early 00’s. Games like MapleStory, Priston Tale and MU online all suffered in foreign Markets because they were designed to be played in a specific setting. Korean gamers often play MMOs in PC cafes, surrounded by their friends and guildmates. Grinding is a lot more enjoyable when you’re all drinking and commiserating about commiserating about college entrance exams in the same room.

World of Warcraft (↑1)

There are a lot of payers are awaiting with great anxiety as new World of Warcraft content is potentially still months away. With the expansion still slated to release this fall and Patch 6.0 presumably launching just weeks before, we have a ways to go before anything fresh comes our way. There is good news for fans of game lore due to the new hearty story written by author Christie Golden’s new novel, War Crimes. The story takes place just after the Siege of Orgrimmar raid, the last to be added to the game, where Garrosh Hellscream will be put to trial for his crime. This new book starts to begin to bridge the gap to Warlords of Draenor giving us a taste of what’s to come.

Several new “crash course” videos have been released aim to detail how to play the DPS spec of each class in World of Warcraft. Those videos serve as a good introduction, for players learning a new class for the first time, to the basic mechanics and spell rotations of each class’ DPS spec.

Rift(↓2)

As players settle in for patch 2.7 and the Unicornaliaevent, the wider MMO world has been attracted by the launch of Wildstar. Even in the outer reaches of Dusken and Breavane, players are talking about it, sharing their opinions, their jokes, and maybe even their fears.

EverQuest Next

If Landmark’s development cycle is any indication of the development time for Everquest Next, new regarding EQNext may need to wait till they get some of the other rudimentary systems coded and working in landmark.

Of course, a lack of information running right before E3, along with the lack of Landmark live segment this week due to E3 means there is a chance, however small, that we may see some Everquest Next-related news or updates tacked onto Landmark showpieces on E3.

Marvel Heroes (↑)

Marvel Heroes

Created by Secret identity Studios and Gazillion Entertainment Marvel Heroes is a free-to-play online action with significant MMORPG elements. Players will be able to play as Marvel superheroes and engage in Diablo-style gameplay while adventuring with other players in an MMO world. The game features action RPG gameplay, tons of playable Marvel characters, loot-driven itemization, character advancement, group content, and deep storyline.

How far can those new faces in this list go in the next month? We don't know but still good luck to them, so stay tuned, we'll keep you informed in July.
