July's Top 10 MMORPG List in North America

July's Top 10 MMORPG

The hottest month is coming! In August, the days are getting hotter. Even early in the day, the sun is burning hot. Being afraid of heat wave outdoors, we would rather stay in an air-conditioned room, but deep down, a sudden shower is the right thing we really long for. Let’s forget all the anxieties for the time being and take a look at the latest Top 10 MMORPG List.

1. Elder Scrolls Online (↑1)

Elder Scrolls Online

We were all surprised by the success ESO, who won the first place, last month. As we know, the video game industry is always busting with fierce competition. Game studios always contend with each other for list glory. Elder Scrolls Online succeeded in knock down Wildstar, the rank 1 in June, and gained the first place once again. Which game will get the #1 slot in this list next time, we don't know.

World of Warcraft

2.World of Warcraft (↑5)

This month World of warcarft again proved to the world that it still have great power in attracting players worldwide. It moved up five places in the rankings to become the second surpassing Archeage and Wildstar. When the Azeroth Choppers finishes running, the Horde is the big winner.

3. Archeage (↑3)

The number 3 big blockbuster goes to Archeage developed by XL Games Inc. When I roamed about on the internet aimlessly, I came across some useful articles being helpful to players.

Archeage

4. wildStar  (↓3)

Wildstar, the last mouth’s winner, have fallen down the rankings, finished fourth in this month.
Carbine Studios is ready to reveal first information about the next major WildStar content update. Called "Sabotage", the update is focused primarily on PvP action and will include mounts, airstrikes and explosives, all neatly packaged in the new PvP game mode that players can take part in starting at level 30. To give players a taste of what's to come, Carbine has released a new 'DevSpeak' to get the buzz started.

wildStar

Sabotage is a new game mode that players can access starting at level 30 and takes place in a massive new 15 v 15 battleground arena, Daggerstone Pass. The goal of the arena is to capture and maintain hold points, which will do damage to your enemy’s base. The “Sabotage” comes into play through bombs that are randomly spawned near your base. Once picked up by a player, the bombs begin ticking down to detonation and can be used for various strategies.

Use bombs to blow up distracted enemies, get bonus damage if you blow up the bombs near the enemy’s base core; the fun is explosive! Everything you blow up adds points to your team’s total, and the team with the most points when the timer hits zero will be declared the winner. Or blow up the enemy fusion core and win immediately.

5. Guild Wars 2 (↓2)

Guild Wars 2, have fallen down two places in July. Its mediocre performance always make people hard to predicate its rank. Is it a tactic?  We don't know.

6. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (↓2)

Like Guild Wars 2, Final Fantasy XIV also slid down two Rankings to sixth place compared with last mouth. Hope it can move forward in August.

7. Rift (↑1)

Rift

No pains, no gains. But sometimes, little change can bring about big benefit. Rift defeated Star wars and moved forward a step. In this month, Trion has revealed a whopping batch of improvements to the Rift Patron Benefits plan for those who subscribe to the game. The plan includes several passive buffs, mount travel speed, and fast pass access to the Porticulum and more.

8. Star Wars: The old republic (↓3)

It seems that Star Wars are facing some problems. It went down sharply, having taken 8 places last month. Although it still has global appeal, the trend of descending should be terminated immediately.

9. EverQuest Next

EverQuest Next

About Ever Quest,There was no obvious changes about its ranking. Its performance placed itself second to last in July. Actually, there are more tricks needed in order to keep still on this more variable list.
Sony Online Entertainment has activated a beta registration reminder for EverQuest Next via the game's Facebook page. This leads to speculation that we will find out much more about the title during next month's SOE Live. EverQuest Next has been largely shrouded in mystery since its announcement and been overshadowed by its compatriot, Landmark.

10. The Secret World (↑)

The Secret World is a massively multiplayer online role-playing video game set in the modern day real world by developer Funcom. Two years of The Secret World. It hardly seems true. Though it is still a baby next to its Funcom brothers Age of Conan and Anarchy Online the Secret World has certainly had an exciting life so far. We’ve faced the end of the world while cowering in our basement, there has been controversy, there has been terror, there has been joy, and artists have been given freedom to run wild.  All of this happening while the MMO is still learning to walk.

See you next time! Bye.
