Preparation Guide for Diabo 3 Launch Day

As we all expecting the launch day of Diablo 3, everyone is trying to do as much as they can to prepare themselves. Like this:

Be ready for Diablo 3

So is Blizzard. On May 7, Blizzard announced a launch day preparation guide on its official site. It has said the open time on Americas servers(U.S., Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, and South East Asia) on 12:01 a.m. PDT, May 15 (16:01 p.m. GMT, May 14;17.01 p.m. CEST, May 14).

Blizzard had said clearly for what to do on preparation for Diablo 3. First to early download the digital client for pre-purchasers, in case of any trouble happening. Then on May 14, Blizzard will unlock the installer for D3 at 08:01 a.m., at which you should begin your installing as soon as possible. When all of these are done, you can start counting time till your servers come online.

Early Download Diablo 3

We know that global play is available in Diablo 3. So Blizzard also gave a guide for this. The global play will be on when D3 is launched in all the regions, which will be at 12:01 a.m. PDT on May 15.
An update will be provided for the global play once it is enabled.

It should be noted that, as players will log in game in the launch midnight, which could impact a lot on server connection, delays may occur. If the delay has been up to 40 seconds, you will be presented with an Error 37 message and asked to try again.

If anyone is wondering the system requirement for Diablo 3, which Blizzard had released partial points, here comes a more detailed description for you, to see whether your PCs meet the standard.

Processor (CPU)

Minimum System Requirements: Intel Pentium D 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2
Recommended System Requirements: Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ 2.8GHz.

Memory (RAM)

Minimum System Requirements: 1GB (XP), 1.5GB (Vista/7)
Recommended System Requirements: 2GB

I suggest it should be at least a dual-core. Single-cores simply don't cut it anymore, and most games are optimized to be played on several threads. Any dual-core that runs at 2.2GHz or higher should run the game fine, and it doesn't really matter whether you have Intel or AMD. And larger memory is better. If you have 2GB of RAM you're ready to it well at higher settings. If you have less than that, then it will depend on the operating system you're running. For Windows XP, 1GB of RAM is ok to run D3. However, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, and Windows 7 are much heavier and will require 1.5GB of RAM if you want the game to run well. We can say that a larger RAM could improve your performance greatly.

We have done the beta of Diablo 3, and knew that the scene in this game presents great. This is how a dedicated graphics card is needed. The card you're using should be around the equivalent of an GeForce GT240, GeForce GT440, Radeon 2600, or a Radeon 4650. In other words, it needs to be in the low-medium end of newer architectures, or toward the higher end of the spectrum for cards four years and older. A quick reference is how much memory and what bit interface your card has. If you look up your card's specs and you see that it has at least 512MB of memory and a 128-bit memory interface, then chances are that it'll do okay.

Also, if you want your gaming experience to be better, a good comfortable mouse and a decent audio solution is needed. And it is recommended to have them for making the game on your PC, Diablo 3, as great as it should be. As far as the audio goes, the music and ambience in Diablo 3 is going to be deeply immersive and you don't want to miss out.

And, a notebook cooler is needed if you want to run Diablo 3 on laptops. You know how hot it will be when running a game like D3.
