August's Top 10 MMORPG List in North America

Top 10 MMORPG List

At the end of the summer days, leaves are turning yellow and the weather are getting cooler, it seems that everything in this world are announcing the news that autumn has been approaching. You know what I want to do after lunch time?  Nothing is better than a cup of coffee after meal. Maybe you are enjoying a cup of good coffee and reading our latest MMORPG list.

1. Archeage (↑2)

Archeage

This mouth, Archeage moved up two slots and won the number one. We are all surprised by its potential. It is said that Trion World will launch this game on September 16; this will be preceded by an open beta from September 4-8, before those who purchased Founder's Packs get to jump in on September 12. Tempted by curiosity, players place high hope on it and are ready to get a big fight.

2. Elder Scrolls Online (↓1)

Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online, the owner of the #1 slot in the last few months has been beat down to second place by Archeage. With the release of patch 1.3.x Zenimax introduced a wave of impressive features that allow players to customize their characters as well as an option for us to show off our Guild. And announced Subscriber Loyalty Program (SLP).If you’ve been a subscriber to ESO for the last three months you’ll be able to receive a High Hrothgar Wraith pet. This is only the start of this program. They have made mention that there will be plenty of rewards coming in the near future.

3. Guild Wars 2 (↑2)

Guid Wars 2

Although Guid Wars 2 took third place in August, it is just average; it seems that it gets stuck in recent months. There are some changes happened in PvP & WvW. There are two major focuses for WvW in this pack. The first is the introduction of Siege Golem Mastery. It works much like the other mastery skills and offers some abilities that will be very interesting to anyone who has always wanted to use siege golems but found they have limited usefulness. Golems will be given a speed boost after the destruction of walls and doors. This allows them to keep up with the group as they run for the next target inside. Your golem will also now be able to not only shield players in a bubble but that bubble will also be an AOE heal. The end of a Siege Golem’s life is also getting a change. When the golem’s health is gone instead of being downed your character will now be forcefully ejected. This makes it much easier for you to get back into battle quickly. Siege disablers will prevent siege weapons from attacking for 40 seconds, plenty of time for it to be destroyed or ignored as you walk past.Equally exciting to the WvW announcements are all the changes coming to sPvP. There will be exclusive armors available to those who compete in PvP. There is also a new PvP track system which allows you to track your progress on certain things and unlock sweet awards like an awesome new armor set that is exclusive to the track.

4. World of warcarft ( ↓2)

Pleasant hours fly fast, World of warcraft moved down 2 places in the ranking, surpassed by Guild Wars 2. But one good news is that the newest expansion Warlords of Draenor has been given a release date: November 13th. In addition to the launch date, Blizzard revealed the debut of the first episode of the game's animated mini-series, Lords of War, as well as a cinematic for Warlords of Draenor. Fans were also given a glimpse of the beginning of the new expansion and waiting for its arrival in next few days.

5. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (↑1)

Just like Guild Wars 2, the performance of Final Fantasy XIV in this mouth is mediocre, made only one step forwards. One thing that’s fun about incremental patches for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is there’s always just that little extra newness to make you want to keep playing. Unlike previous FFXIV mini-patches, Patch 2.35 provides an entirely new incentive to leveling a new crafting class. There’s a Beast Tribe that wants your help making items for them, and it’s up to you to be the goodwill ambassador and get them what they need. Don’t hesitate, do it now.

6  WildStar (↓2)

WildStar

It seems that WildStar has got some troubles. Slide down form number one in July to number six in July, And worse still, it appears that this downward trend are out of control. Fortunately, the arrival of Drop 3 brings some new stuff including the culmination of the story prologue, a new PvP arena, and the first holiday event: Shade’s Eve. No substantial changes here, in my view. What do you think?

 7. Star Wars: The old republic ( ↑1)

About the Star wars, there was no obvious change about its ranking this month. It moved up one place compared with last month. Actually, there are more tricks needed in order to keep going on this list. Galactic Strongholds, the latest digital expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Is BioWare’s answer to fans who have been clamoring for two key features for many years now: player housing and guild flagships? It is slow, but steady.

8. EverQuest Next

It is unfamiliar to me and lacks attractive new this month, except the announcement of three new classes: The Cleric, the Elementalist, and the Tempest.

9. Rift (↓2)

rift

It shows that its new content has less attractive and they need to work harder to grasp a higher score. Trion revealed that Nightmare Tide will consist of three zones,The zones are: Tarken Glacier (top), Draum Heim (mid), and Goboro Reef (bottom). The developers also confirmed that each zone will consist of multiple layers. This makes it sound likely that we will be going underground. And, of course, underwater. All these changes are so complicated and uninteresting to me.

10. Path of Exile (↑)

Here comes the new face. Path of Exile is and online action RPG set in a dark fantasy word, developed by New Zealand based independent developer Grinding Gear Games. In August,Path of Exile reveal two of Forsaken Masters' big new features: The Witch Catarina, Master of the Dead and the Standard Challenge League coming with the expansion: The Rampage League. All these new features make it sound likely to attract more players in next days.

See you next time!
