What is Diablo 4 Season? 

The Diablo 4 season can be regarded as the map update of the MMORPG online game, but it is opened in the form of a season, which serves as a new area for players to explore. This update form is the primary way that Diablo 4 will be updated in the later period.

In Diablo 4, the concept of seasons differentiates between season characters and non-season characters, ensuring their independence from one another. Regardless of whether a player possesses a high-level non-season character, it cannot be utilized in the season mode. Players must create a new character from scratch to partake in a season, starting afresh within the seasonal framework.

Diablo 4’s season becomes accessible once players have created a character and completed the main storyline.  In the season, players can skip both the plot and battles.

Diablo 4 Season, players who start with seasonal characters cannot bring any equipment or items.  They have to start from scratch, but players can bring some items out of the season once it has ended, and non-seasonal characters can use them.

During the current season of Diablo 4, players can acquire exclusive equipment that is typically more powerful than that found in regular gameplay. Once the season ends, this equipment will no longer be obtainable.

In general, the Diablo 4 season is equivalent to a constantly updated DLC, and players who want to experience the content of the season must create new characters to enter the game.

How to Join the Diablo 4 Season?

Diablo 4’s first season, Season of the Malignant, is coming to the game on July 20. To participate in Seasons, a new character must be made on the Seasonal Realm. You do not need to purchase a Battle Pass or any add-ons to play the Seasonal content, but you must have completed the campaign on either the Eternal or Seasonal Realm with at least one character. Once you have completed the Campaign, any Seasonal character will start the game with:

• The option to skip the Campaign.
• Your Mount available immediately.
• All previously discovered Altars of Lilith unlocked, and the corresponding Renown for them.
• All previously discovered areas of the map revealed, and the corresponding renown for them.

Once the Season has ended, the character you made and its progress will be transferred to the Eternal Realm. All items you collected, including in your Seasonal stash, will be transferred too. You can take this character into Sanctuary whenever you please, but Season-specific features such as Malignant Hearts will no longer be accessible.

Season Journey and Free Wargate Pass Rewards 

You can unlock rewards by advancing through the Chapters of the Season Journey and the tiers of the Free Season Battle Pass. This applies to all-season realm characters.

Complete chapters of the Season Journey to earn rewards, including new Legendary aspects, a Mastery Title, and a Scroll of Amnesia which provides a free Skill Tree and Paragon Board reset. Plus, earn favor toward the Battle Pass along the way

Use the Smoldering Ashes you earn in the Battle Pass to upgrade all your seasonal characters with increased XP gains, better chances for rare materials when salvaging items, and more.

3 SEASONAL TITLE

Show off that the only thing more frightening than the Malignance is you with the “Eldritch Monster” title.

4 CLOTHING & WEAPON TRANSMOGS

Collect a weapon transmog for each of Diablo’s five classes and Artisan’s clothing that’s designed to be mixed and matched with other armor sets to create a unique look for your character.
