Designer Andrew McLeod Talks Crafting in Guild wars 2

Guild Wars 2 doesn’t release until now and I don’t know when it will as well, however I can’t imagine how fiercely of the combat and how curiously of the adventure since the release of Cataclysm. Yeah I admit that I’m a really hardcore of MMOs, I am waiting for Guild Wars 2 release for a long time as you guys there.

Some guys told me the release will be on someday of 2011, I do care whatever it comes cause I’m following the official, forums, interview of guys working in the official, demos of all new profession and everything relates Guild Wars 2 news and strategy and so on..

Do you guys notice two new professions announced few days before? About professions of Thief and guardian. They both have respectively skills, Weapons, Virtues and so on. With the demos of the two, I can’t help to think about the splendid scene of Guild Wars 2.

Andrew McLeod as the Game Designers of Guild Wars 2 , who likes to talk about it with all its fans. There’re eight crafting disciplines players can choose from in Guild Wars 2, which as followings:

Weaponsmith – Weaponsmiths craft melee weapons, such as swords, axes and hammers.
Huntsman – Huntsmen craft ranged weapons like bows and pistol, as well as torches and warhorns.
Artificer– Artificers craft magical weapons such as staves and scepters
Armorsmith – Armorsmiths craft heavy armor pieces.
Leatherworker – Leatherworkers craft medium armor pieces.
Tailor – Tailors craft light armor pieces.
Jewelcrafter – Jewelcrafters craft jewelry, such as rings and necklaces.
Cook – Cooks can prepare food which characters can eat for temporary combat buffs.

A character can only have two disciplines at a time, but they can change their crafting disciplines by visiting the master craftsmen NPC that can be found in all major cities. Guys need to get the raw materials for crafting before craft new items. The basic materials needed for crafting depends upon the crafting discipline, but there are three ways you can obtain crafting materials:

Salvaging kits— Available from merchants, salvaging kits allow you to salvage crafting materials out of old or unwanted items.

Looting—Guys have a chance of finding appropriate crafting materials like hides or trophies when you loot slain enemies.

Harvesting—Ore veins, plants, and trees can be found around the world and harvested for materials.

In Guild Wars 2, each node can be gathered by every players no the same as other MMOs.

As what I said I’m the veteran of MMOs especially Guild Wars, and currently waiting for the release of Guild Wars 2, no matter what kinds news, posts even everything related it, I will share it with your guys at the first time here. Or you guys also can share yours with me here or whisper me in the game. Yeah, undoubtedly the one who fight fiercely it’s me!
