Allods online: Guild Spotlight: Redemption!

Can you give us a little history about Redemption?
Redemption’s current GL, Zelia, formed the guild with his friend Xanz after their previous guild fell apart. Since both players shared similar views and both had experience running guilds from previous games, they decided to form Redemption. Rather than specialize in one area, their idea was to form a balanced guild from the aspects of the game to the players that made up the guild, whether new or highly experienced. Much of the current core officers joined shortly after and the guild expanded rapidly from there.

What are the goals of Redemption?
The main goal of Redemption is to give players the ability to experience the whole game from leveling a character to participating in PvP, Heroics, Astral, and Raids and have fun doing it. The guild also focuses its efforts on turning good gamers into great gamers by giving them the tools and knowledge they need to excel here in Allods. The guild also encourages the forging of friendships because playing a game with those who enjoy each other’s company is so much better than a solo adventure.

Are you a casual PvE guild? Hardcore PvP? Raiding?
The guild is currently a mix of all 3. Redemption was founded as a laid back and casual PvE guild, but as it grew it expanded into the PvP realm and eventually plans to start raiding, but not exclusively. Officers are split into different sections of these game elements that play to their strengths in order to make the process more efficient.

Vicelich and Xspeedkillsx are in charge of strategies, party make ups, and times for heroics, and they will be leading guild raids once progression goals are met. Skatrzoo coordinates the PvP element and his activities include setting up PvP raids for Asee-Teph or other League camps, PvP tournaments (much like the one the guild recently held), and the occasional Goblin Ball game.

What are the people of Redemption like?
The people of Redemption are what make the guild the guild. There is an amazing core group of players that have stuck with the game through everything and that gives a feeling of consistency for new recruits and older members alike. Over time, the guild has picked up a large amount of great gamers and is looking forward to seeing how well they excel in heroics, PvP, and beyond.

There are also 2 of the guilds members that were chosen as Heroes of the Week and also became Astral Scholars, and that speaks well to the quality of players the guild possess. The GM and officers know their roles and perform them with extreme efficiency, and that keeps things running smoothly and ensures the enjoyment of those playing. Overall the guild is a very warm and welcoming environment that still gets business done when needed which results in great times to be had by all its members.

How would one go about joining Redemption? Are you accepting applications? What are your recruiting criteria?
If you want to know more about Redemption or are interested in it,a few of the officers you could contact are Skatrzoo, Whitetokki, Vicelich, or Xspeedkillsx, or you could get a hold of the GL Zelia.

The guild is currently in need of some more mages and psionicists if the guild wants to round out a potential raid for Gorluxor’s Tower. The guild is also short on scouts and wardens. That’s not to say exceptional applicants will be turned down, but those are the current areas that the guild would like to see filled. The guild is near the cap of 150 so recruitment isn’t as open as we would like to see.

The guild recruitment criteria is simple. Be respectful of other players, don’t be afraid to ask for help but also be willing to give help if you can, interaction is a major plus as it helps us get to know you better, and most importantly be willing to have fun. The guild also requires a minimum level of 25 to join, as that shows a player has put some effort into leveling a character and is more likely to stay active. The guild is in it for the long run, and we want the members to stay around.

What do you see in Redemptions’ future in Allods Online?
The future of Redemption looks bright. The guild recently acquired a new batch of 40+ levels as a result of the XP event so there are over 3 regular heroic groups gearing players up for the future. There are also a few groups out exploring the astral and the guild can’t wait for the update to the astral in order to send even more groups out. A guild raid of Gorluxor’s Tower is likely a few months away, but it’s going to be a fun ride once the guild gets there.

Future guild events are also planned to keep members engaged and experiencing the different aspects of the game. PvP raids, PvP tournaments, Goblinball, and even Karaoke events are some of the activities you can expect to see offered to enhance your enjoyment.
