May's Top 10 MMORPG in North America

Here we are again with our monthly list of the best free-to-play MMORPGs of this month.

Top 10 MMORPG in North America

Let's take a look at the best games of May 2014. Compared to last month's list, most of them have lost their position. Let's find out together which game is the number one!

Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online

The #1 slot for the best fantasy MMORPG goes to Elder Scrolls Online from Nexon. We had to admit that advertisement has played a great part in popularizing this game worldwide. It ends the players 5 year-wait for this game with the release of this game on April 4, 2014. It is the first project for ZeniMax online Stuidios, which was formed in 2007. Matt Firor, studio lead at Zenimax Online, is also the director of The Elder Scrolls Online. It supposed to be available for Play Staion 4 and Xbox One in late 2014 or early 2015.

It was reportedly shortly after the game’s lunch that buyers could not stat the 30-day of free time included with their purchase until a subscription had been set up and – in “a strange state of affairs” and “most likely a mistake”– after a full mouth had been paid for. And a serious item duplication exploit was discovered that allowed player to gain huge fortunes, Zenimax later put a patch that included changes to the way auto-stacking in guild banks is handled, which many stop the exploit. Later Zenimax later announced that they had permanently banned thousands of accounts because of this exploit.

wildStar

WildStar

WildStar is an upcoming fantasy/science fiction massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Players worldwide are waiting for this game with great enthusiasm. At least from click rates this month, it got a good performance this mouth. Will it suppress Elder Scolls Online in the next months? We'll see.

Archeage(↑6 )

Archage

Archage, have achieved great progress in this month, although it not at first place this month. Trion Worlds released three Founder’s Packs, including Silver, Gold, and Archeum. The silver pack is the cheapest one priced at $49.99; your average price for a PC title. This gets you into the beta, a four day start, the “founder” title, a 30 day patron pass, experimental Glider and 2,500 credits to sweeten the deal. When you think about it as buying a new game you may be able to persuade yourself, but what’s holding some people back comes down to when the closed and open beta will kick off. Obviously you don't want to find yourself buying into the closed beta and then a month later open beta pops.

Guild Wars 2 (↓1)

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 is the second game from Developer Arena.Net. GW2 is quite a large departure from GW1, playing a lot more like traditional MMOs but the buy-to-play model returns and the world still feels very much like it should. This month guild wars 2 has not big change. But it is still attractive for player around the world.

Star Wars: The Old Republic (↓1)

Star Wars: the Old Republic

Star Wars: the Old Republic’s Senior Producer Maclean released his revised roadmap for the Summer of SWTOR. In it, he outlined the new plan for game update 2.8, now due for June 10. Couple that with his previously-published Producer Letter announcing the delay of the Galactic Strongholds expansion and the reasons for it, we have an overall message that they believe players would rather see a much bigger up-front expansion rather than trickling new features and updates along the road piecemeal. The delay of update 2.8 seems to change player’s decision who wants to play this game immediately. Who hope it can rank more higher next month.

Rift (↑1)

Rift

Rift (previously known as Rift: Planes of Telara) is a fantasy free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Trion Worlds. Rift takes place within the fantasy world Telara. The game was released in March 2011.Two competing factions composed of a selection of races and classes battle each other; and also battle against the enemies which emerge from dynamic rifts. Rift climbed two slots this month. This game was widely expected.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (↓2)

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is an MMORPG and features many of the trappings of the genre. Players create and customize their characters for use in the game, including name, race, gender, facial features, and starting class. Unlike in the original release, players may only choose to be a Disciple of War or Magic as a starting class—Disciples of the Hand and Land are initially unavailable.

World of Warcraft (↓2)

Led by legendary chopper builder Paul Jr., Team Horde will face off against Team Alliance to determine which epic custom-built bike will come out on top in the ultimate show own. When the dust settles and the final designs are revealed it will be YOUR vote that decides which of these mechanical marvels will be recreated as an in-game mount. And the fifth expansion to game World of Warcraft, scheduled for release in Fall 2014. It was announced on November 8, 2013 at BlizzCon 2013. The expansion will rise the existing level cap form 90 to 100 and will introduce palye-built, upgradeable garrisons.

EverQuest Next (↓1)

EverQuest Next is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), the successor to EverQuest, EverQuest Online Adventures and EverQuest II. Sony Online Entertainment, the developer and publisher, released further details in August 2010, at which point development was still in its earliest stages and feedback was being solicited from existing EverQuest, EverQuest Online Adventures Frontiers and EverQuest 2 players.

Neverwinter

Neverwinter

Perfect World announced that Module 3: Curse of Icewind Dale is now live in Neverwinter! Log in and experience the new Heroic Encounters and open-world PvP combat while working as a mercenary for one of two opposing mercenary groups, the Ten-Towners or the Arcane Brotherhood. Also, there are many new features introduced with the latest content expansion.

That’s all for today. See you next time!
