December's Top 10 MMORPG List in North America

New Year means new starting point. Hope and pray that 2015 will bring you loads of joy, fulfillment, and happiness and thank you all so much for all the support that you’ve given us in 2014. The last rankings are already on my desk, now I am sharing with you.

Top 10 MMORPG List

1. Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online

Let’s congratulate ESO first on its good ranking in this month. After several months of mediocre performance, in October, it climbed up to the highest and succeeded in occupying the 1st place again. It made its first appearance on 4 April, 2014 and updated to version of 1.1.2 after six weeks. After several consecutive expansions, ESO made itself more attractive and excellent. It is really a good game and tempted too much players wanting to get a big fight. I predicate that it will become more and more better in the future due to the enormous efforts made by its team and more easily be accepted by the fastidious players. By the way, what do you think?

2. Guild Wars 2 (↑2)

Guild Wars 2

Continuing with the past and opening up the future, Guild Wars 2 has done what it was supposed to be done. At the beginning of 2014, Tyris came then Twisted Marionette arrived, followed by Escape From Lion's Arch and Final battle with Scarlet Briar along with The Queen's Gauntletand The Silverwastes, one surprise followed by another, making payers exciting . Lots of players have been tempted by those new contents and devoted themselves to Guild Wars 2 day and night. In the upcoming 2015, many new surprises such as better Pacing for living World Story, better Armor Models for Charr and Asura, Unique WvW Tournament Rward as well as new Skills are waiting us. Are these things players are looking for? Let’s wait and see.

3. Star Wars: Theold republic (↑3)

Star Wars: The old republic

Star Wars: The old republic moved up to the 3rd place in December. On December 2nd, early purchasers of the Shadow of Revan expansion were granted an access to two things: the new content that was being added for the $20 purchase of the expansion pack, and the new skills and streamlined combat systems. Want to leave crowded earth and fight on those exotic planets like a warrior, just john in and fight for your dream.

4 .Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (↑1)

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is an MMORPG and features many of the trappings of the genre. Players create and customize their characters for use in the game, including name, race, gender, facial features, and starting class. Unlike in the original release, players may only choose to be a Disciple of War or Magic as a starting class—Disciples of the Hand and Land are initially unavailable. Although, this month it has been surpassed by Star Wars by minor advantage, it still has considerable potential to contend for 1st.

5. World of Warcarft (↓2)

WOW, being regarded as the leader of MMORPG, has an adequate performance. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor has been released 2 months ago. It has an auspicious start, server Woes seem to be fading and players are experiencing the first raid content, one of several that will be added over the coming months. After a long waiting of two years, players become more uneasy with Pandaria and more eager for new content, new experiences, enhanced features and more. Inthis background, Warlords has delivered.

WOW

6. ArcheAge (↓4)

ArccheAge

ArccheAge slid down too much in December. On December 1st, Trion Worlds apologized for theextended downtime and promised to offer players compensation packages. But the publishers did not enlarge on what has caused the “latency issues” that precipitated the initial server restarts. The Trion representatives only said the issues were not caused by a DDOS attack. This leaves us ArcheAge fans to speculate at the true nature and course of events last weekend. Is it the reason that upset players that night?

7. Rift

Rift

Next, comes to Rift which keeps still in this list for several months. With a few reservations, Nightmare Tide has been an amazing expansion. Trion has taken Rift forward in so many areas:
The interesting and engaging quests.
The Amazing storytelling.
The finely crafted and well-designed world.
The incredibly helpful minions.

8.TERA: Rising (↑2)

TERA

The glaring divide between players who generally prefer PvE game play and those who like PvP is one of the interesting issues in the MMO genre. Once the end game raiding experience has largely exhausted itself the ostensible goal of most games is to quietly nudge players into PVP content. That does not always work for those who simply do not care for “killing” other players. Enter TERA’s Coliseum mode, a new twist on PvP that doesn’t actually involve taking out the opposing team but rather focuses on two teams facing off against one another in a race to kill monsters. Only those games which have good game experience can be memorized by players and enable them login in from time to time.

9. EverQuest Next (↑)

EverQuest Next

Climbed one slot this month, EverQuest Next is the next evolution of SOE's EverQuest franchise, and according to the publisher it will be the largest sandbox ever made and has many new features. As a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), the successor to EverQuest, EverQuest Online Adventures and EverQuest II.

10. The Secret Word (↑)

The Secret World

The secret Word is truly is mystical. The Secret World issue 10: Nightmare in the Dream Palace is live, and we recently had the chance to run around the other side of Tokyo in a look at the brand new content. When we last left issue 9, there had been a huge explosion that conveniently reduced the quarantine wall that had been blocking off one side of Tokyo from the other, to more of an inconvenience than an obstacle. Issue 9 worked to lay down the foundations of new systems and new strategies, specifically having to do with Aegis. Issue 10 does also add in a few new cool systems and options--Aegis expands in a couple of new ways, for example-- but the main focus is on story.

Well, that’s all for the last list in 2014. Wish you a most happy new year!

Happy New Year
