An overview of TERA: Be Ready for the Release

TERA

With less than one week until TERA launches on May 1, Bluehole and En Masse has made a number of improvements to TERA in preparation for launch. One of those is that they distributed a new trailer for the Island of Dawn which aims to give a more engaging introduction to the game. Now we should be able to get prepared for what we expected from the game, which is discussed in the text as an overview.

The game's visuals have been built with the technology of Unreal 3 engine, but you might be surprised by what Bluehole has been able to do with it. With a huge map, the eighty plus zones are said to offer a wide plenty of settings and elements for you to explore.

TERA Combat

The combat system could be the most expected part I think. As an "Action MMO", TERA is just like other action mmo games. New ablilities and combat moves will be unlocked as you level up, and you can chain the ablilities together into different combo moves. You can even customize your own skill combos to tailor to your play style. What makes TERA different from others is fighting. You can dodge, jump and combo much, a refreshingly different take on combat that could be a good alternative if you're tired of the other game's style. Animations are very impressive, and are different from each of the seven races (Human, Castanic, Aman, Popori, Elin, Baraka, and High Elf). That is to say the attack and dodging animations of a Aman warrior will look and feel different from a Human, or Baraka's animations. This is very unique.

We can't really think of an MMORPG without and in TERA there's many types of dungeons depending on the circumstance. But we mainly talk about only two of them: Open Dungeons and Instances Dungeons.

New and Better Dungeons

Open dungeons are interesting. Apart from giving a good amount of exp while levelling up, they allow for player interaction. The PvP orientated players will have a chance to hunt down unsuspicious players. While the instanced dungeons are the typical ones, but in combination with the combat system and the different classes in TERA, every encounter feels like an epic battle. The amount of Instanced Dungeons available to us at release will be 21 in total and 5 endgame ones.

Just get ready while waiting for the release on May 1. As described, TERA suits a plenty of gamer types and everyone will find something that will hook them up with the game. The epic PvE encoutners, the awesome Guild vs Guild war or the intruiging political system give the possiblity for the game of being a legend.
