Queue Times and Waiting to Play
The popularity of specific servers has caused queues to benecessary. These queues are based on the given server load. The wait times forour more populated servers will be longer than the wait time for less populated servers. You can use the tracking tools on the Aion website to determine which servers are most populated and which ones will have thelongest or shortest wait times in the login queue. Login queues will shorten (and disappear) over the nextseveral days as players spread out across our currently available servers. We are also working on several ways to alleviate the waittime in the queues.
Faction Balance
We will only be allowing players to create characters of onefaction on each server. For example, if you create an Elyos character on Siel, you will only be able to create Elyos characters on that server. Because ofthis, we will be closely monitoring the faction balance on each server duringlaunch and after. If we see a particular server is starting to becomeunbalanced in favor of one faction, we will temporarily disable charactercreation of that particular faction on the server. Please be aware thistemporary character creation block could change every few hours. If you findyou are unable to create a character of your preferred faction choice, pleasewait a while and try again later. We apologize for any inconvenience this maycause, but we feel this is a necessary step to maintain a well balanced server.
Special Items (Preorder/collectors)
In order to claim either or both the Preorder andCollector’s Edition in-game items, you will need to first make sure theappropriate codes have been applied to your Aion game account, and then claimthe items for your character(s) through our website. After you have claimed the item packs for yourcharacter(s) on our website, you may need to wait a while (possibly up to 12hours) before the items become available in-game. Your item packs will beavailable when you see a small box icon appear in the bottom-right corner ofyour screen next to your compass. You can click the box and a Black CloudTrader will appear to deliver your items. You can click on this NPC to retrieveyour items. If you don’t retrieve all of the items before dismissing the BlackCloud Trader, the items will remain in your normal mailbox.
Cosmetic Surgery NPCs
The Gender Switch and Appearance NPCs are available in game, however, the ability to purchase the tickets used at these vendors is not yetavailable. Please keep an eye on the Aion homepage for any information regarding the furtherimplementation of these NPCs.

Our tipline just lit up with news that the faction change service discussed so often recently is now available! At least in the US. One of our super secret to-be-announced new bloggers from the EU mentioned that he doesn't see it overseas yet, but Rogue specialist Chase Christian is already swapping his Rogue over. Hopefully Europe will have it very soon.
The faction change (accessed via your account management page), in addition to allowing you to flip from Horde to Alliance (and vice versa) also seems to include the ability to change anything else you could change through a character recustomization, such as a name change for the price of $30. We have some picture of the process incoming, so keep an eye on this spot. The World of Warcraft official have them put together for you in just a moment.
Update 1: And here are the images of the process. Enjoy!
Update 2: The faction change FAQ has some additional details you might find interesting. There are some mount/reputation restrictions when you switch over that you might want to be aware of before you drop your $30.
With the level cap being raised, adventurers will reach their hands to new equipment. Since those new tools of power require stronger jewels, the craftsmen have worked day and night to exchange the old magical jewels with new ones:
Sun Jewel - Holy Light
Moon Jewel - Holy Light
Star Jewel – Holy Light
You can find them as usual in the Item-, Ruby (perfect juwels) and Phirius coin shop
Attention:
"This item increases the power level of an armor, asseccory and weapon piece to +1 (100%). If the armor piece's power level is already +1 or higher, there is a chance to increase its power level by 1 level. For character level 1-60. Increases the power level of a level 1-60 armor piece up to +6. If the upgrade process fails, the armor piece will remain at least at power level 1."
There's nothing quite like the sun setting across the mountains in the distance - even if the lens flares are a bit heavy at certain times! Today's Age of Conan One Shot shows off Blame fulgecko standing near a heavy wall, waiting for the night. He writes in to tell us about his experience: This is my Bear Shaman, Omuro's first venture into the tainted lands of Stygia. One thing that can't be experienced from this picture though is the ambient sounds from the marketplace behind me or the fantastic soundtrack that evokes the arid wasteland that this region of the game can be described as being by Crom. We're not quite sure what would fit in the blank that Blamefulgecko left in that mighty last sentence, as that's exactly how we got it. Perhaps "profoundly canoodled", Your guess is as good as ours.
On July 29, 2009, NC soft made updates to their Aion account system, and at that same time, launched accounts ready for the live game. If you are a current closed beta participant, you should update your password to ready your account for the live version of Aion.

On June 22, a class action lawsuit was filed against Square Enix accusing the publisher of unfair business practices, false advertisements, and undisclosed fees related to its massively multiplayer online role-playing game Final Fantasy XI. The lead plaintiff, Esther Leong of San Francisco, filed the complaint on behalf of over 100,000 fellow MMORPG subscribers and demanded a payment in "excess of $5 million" from the game publisher. Now, in an amended complaint filed Monday, the plaintiff revealed the specifics behind the generalized accusations outlined in the June 22 document.
In the updated filing, Leong alleges that Square Enix failed to disclose all the fees associated with the MMORPG at the time of its purchase. Specifically, the complaint states that the publisher fails to disclose that players must continuously pay a monthly subscription in order to retain their in-game characters. The document alleges that the label on the retail box, which forewarns "additional online fees required," is too vague to qualify as a full disclosure of the game's supplemental costs. Currently, Final Fantasy XI costs $12.95 a month to play.
The plaintiff also asserts that the publisher failed to disclose other subscription information at the time of purchase. Namely, Square Enix did not reveal to its subscribers that if they did not pay every month, then their characters and game key would be permanently unusable after 90 days without payment. Moreover, in order to save the account before that 90-day mark, players had to pay a reactivation fee and subscription fees for each unpaid month
However, PlayOnline's current member agreement--which all subscribers must agree to--states that all players must pay the game's recurring subscription fee due at the beginning of each month. If users fail to foot the bill at that time, their accounts are deactivated and can only be brought back by paying "all delinquent subscription fees" and applicable reactivation fees. Additionally, the agreement asserts that Square Enix is not liable for any damages resulting from an inability to access Play Online, including the loss of data
According to the same document, Leong began playing Final Fantasy XI in 2005 and was a subscriber until August 2007, when she took a break from the game. When she returned to the game in 2009, she found that her account was invalidated because she hadn't paid the monthly fees. She now considers in-game characters she lost "suffered damages" and is suing for multimillion-dollar compensation in-game characters she lost "suffered damages" and is suing for multimillion-dollar compel.
Final Fantasy XI was released in October 2003 in North America, reaching 500,000 users worldwide by January 2004 through its play online service. Currently available on the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, and PC, the game received its most recent expansion pack, A Moogle Kupo d'Etat, last month.

On patch 3.1 that is on PTR, a few of the achievements that awards the 310% protodrake mount is getting changed to NOT award the mount anymore. Blizz reasoning was that when Uld goes live, Uld geared players could go back to older raid content and wipe them out more easily, making those 310% mount too easy to get.
IMO that is major bullshit. There are more casual and non raiders than hard core raiders in any realms and by taking the mount out, they are basically awarding those hard core raiders who probably spent an unhelathy amount of time playing while the rest of us who can't play that much are still trying to get it.
If anything, this change would only encourage those who still don't have it to play more, to the point of relying on energy bar and drinks, using diaper to skip bathroom break, and no sleep pills to stay awake and hit as many raids as possible.
Right now in PTR forum there are many upset people about this change and some suggested leaving in mount but at the standard 280% instead of the supposedly exclusive and hard to obtain wow gold.
Raiding isn't the issue. Casual players are not inherently "less skilled" or "less worthy". They simply cannot afford to dedicate a block of four solid hours or more per raid each and every time they try to do something in game. So really, this is a non-issue, but I observe as usual that people jump at any opportunity they can to be an anonymous dickhole.
Condolences to those who are losing mounts because of this idiocy. *shrug* They can take the black and red drakes away for all I care, just leave the violet one and then the "hard core raiders" can bitch some more.
This year's quest tasks gamers with helping Gilin Rockbreath, a drunk dwarf, determine if his gnomish goggles are broken or not. The quests from previous Brewdays are also obtainable for anyone who wishes to run through them.
So when I eventually found myself playing massively multigamer online games, I was caught between a rock and a hard place. In the earliest MMORPGs, trying to win meant that you were the hardest of the hardcore. To win at an MMORPG like EverQuest or Ultima Online or Final Fantasy XI, you might need to raid fifteen hours a day, go to work to pay your rent and/or subscription fees, get an hour of sleep, then be at it again. Between my family, social, and job-related activities, I've never had an extremely open schedule, so being an elite member of the MMORPG community was never an option. Ultimately, my competitive spirit was quashed by the very nature of MMORPG design.
It's getting real close to December 16th, and the many modifications brought by the update will all be revealed over the coming days. Today we like you to discover the new Invasion System!
What exactly are Invasions?
Invasions are a new experimental model destined to make the DOFUS environment more dynamic and lively.
Monsters can invade a region adjacent to theirs and make it their own. In doing so, they eradicate the natural fauna of the environment. The unwelcome invaders can only be removed by the forceful hand of courageous adventurers.
The invasion is orchestrated by a single monster that is significantly stronger than his peers. As long as he lives, the invasion cannot be repelled and the natural wildlife cannot return. Players must find and remove this monster in order to put a stop to the invasion and return the region to its natural state.
What creatures are likely to invade regions?
In DOFUS 1.26.0, we have made two invasions possible: Bworks and Chafers.
Bworks head by the notorious and very pink Swimp the Simple will most likely try and invade the neighboring area of Crackler Mountain regularly.
Chafers under the orders of the heavily armed Chafer Axit are sure to turn their attention to the Eltneg Woods as often as they can.
How is the natural wildlife of an area brought back?
The first and most important step is to remove the invaders header.
After vanquishing him, for the real inhabitants to reappear, you will have to remove every Chafer or Bwork you come across. It's that simple. As soon as the header is dead the normal creatures of the area will slowly replace the invaders.
