May's Top 10 MMORPG List in North America

How time flies! One month has passed. We meet here again. Are you looking forward to seeing what place your favorite game achieved in the latest MMORPG ranking? Let’s take a look at the May's Top 10 MMORPG List.

MMORPG list

1. Guild Wars2 (↑1)

First of all, there is a good new for fans of GW2 which defeated ESO and won the first place in this month. May is truly a lucky month for GW2. They updated some new features and reduced the total number of ability of ranks of Guard Killer and Defense against Guards from 10 to 5.

Guild Wars 2

The Applied Fortitude and Applied Strength effects have been removed.

Ability lines that increased percentages from 1% to 5% now increase percentages from 2% to 10%. And so on.

As an example scenario, let’s say the red team captures a tower. A timer on the “Defend the tower” event immediately begins. Each time an allied dolyak caravan arrives at the tower, the timer will decrease by five minutes. The Tier 1 upgrades will automatically occur sometime between 20 and 40 minutes as long as the red team can maintain control of the tower. The time depends on how many caravans safely make it to the objective. When Tier 1 completes, the tower immediately gains stone walls, an oil pot, a merchant, and a supply-hold increase. This process repeats until all the tiers are obtained and the objective is fully upgraded.

2. Elder Scrolls Online (↓1)

Elder Scrolls Online

The second comes to ESO Online, which has been on the top of most popular games for a long time, has been knocked down by GW2. Supported by fans worldwide this great game still has great charisma and vitality. Hope more updates will be released in the near future.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is planned for release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 9, 2015. After the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, the only requirements for PC/Mac players is a copy of the game, an internet connection, and a valid game account. For console players, an active Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership is also required.

3. Cabal 2

Cabal 2

The number 3 goes to Cabal 2 developed by ESTsoft. CABAL 2 is an action-MMO with fluid, skill-based combat that offers the genuine MMO experience that made the genre so popular. With classic classes such as the Priest, Wizard, Warrior, as well as new takes like the Force Shielder and Force Blader and Force Archer, the combat of Cabal 2 takes center stage. Fight in massive PVP battlefields, across large gorgeous open zones, and in intense group dungeons that tell the story of the world.

4 .Star Wars: the old republic (↓1)

Star Wars

Star Wars finished fourth in this month because of the pressure imposed by CABL2.

In Star Wars: The Old Republic, players will explore an age thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader when war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire divides the galaxy. Players can choose to play as Jedi, Sith, or a variety of other classic Star Wars roles, defining their personal story and determining their path down the light or dark side of the Force. Along the way, SWTOR players will befriend courageous companions who will fight at their side or possibly betray them, based on the players' actions. Some would think that SWTOR is the best game set in Star Wars theme, it is even better than Never winter Nights developed by Bioware. Moreover, its story line itself is highly impressed. It is no wonder that there are so much players wanting here.

5. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (↓1)

Final Fantasy XIV

Slipped one spot to fifth, Final Fantasy XIV changed a little in April when compared with last month. The original version of the game, termed Version 1.0, received its final update in November 2012 and its service concluded that December. Alpha testing for A Realm Reborn commenced in November 2012, with beta testing following throughout the first half of 2013. The game officially relaunched on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 platforms on August 27th, 2013, and then officially launched on the PlayStation 4 on April 14th, 2014.

The first expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, will be released on June 23rd, 2015 worldwide. As a great name with long history, it will give us more surprises.

6. World of Warcraft (↓1)

World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft beyond doubt can be seen as a legend in MMORPG history. It likes a battlefield, numerous payers join this battle to fight against various bloodthirsty monsters and collect legendary weapons to build their own legend. It's a great game for the world. Hope it can go further next month.

7. EVE Online

EVE online

How time flies. It has been several months since EVE appeared on this list last time. There must have some new things which have attracted players’ attention.  Just keep going.

8.Wizard101

Wizard101

Wizard101 is an MMORPG created by KingsIsle Entertainment. It's a game about magic. Players take on the role of students of Witchcraft/Wizardry to save the Spiral, the fictional universe in which the game is played, and battle enemies by casting spells using a turn-based combat system similar to collectible card games.

9.ArcheAge (↓3)

ArcheAge

Developed by XL Games Inc., Ever Quest slid too much in its ranking and placed itself second to last in April. The game was released in Korea on January 15, 2013, Europe and North America on September 16, 2014, and has also had a closed beta in China. ArcheAge is described as a "sandpark" MMORPG, which the developers say is a hybrid of the open content style of a "sandbox" game and the more structured play experience of a "themepark" game. Hope it can get better grade next time.

10. Crowfall (↓4)

The last is Crowfall. Crowfall is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by ArtCraft, described as a "Throne War Simulator". The game aims to be a fusion of action MMORPGs and real-time strategy games. The game was announced in January 2015 under much speculation and mystery. Very little information was given, with only a 40 day countdown timer and very few aspects of gameplay discussed on its website. When the counter finally reached zero, the site had a link to the game's official kickstarter page, with gameplay videos and many aspects of the game finally revealed. In a matter of hours, the Kickstarter was halfway towards its eight hundred thousand dollar goal.
